Code For Sustainable Homes

The Code for Sustainable Homes provides an all-round measure of the sustainability of new homes, ensuring that sustainable homes deliver real improvements in key areas such as carbon dioxide emissions and water use.

The Code for sustainable Homes is a set of sustainable design principles covering performance in nine key areas:

  • Energy & CO2 Emissions
  • Water
  • Materials
  • Surface Water Run-off
  • Waste
  • Pollution
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Management
  • Ecology

The highlighted green elements contain minimum mandatory standards which must be met before even the lowest level of the Code can be achieved.

E & J Energy Services Ltd with 30 years experience within construction management can assess a project and provide the experience and consultancy to comply with the Code for Sustainable Homes. Our BRE accredited assessor will produce a pre-assessment and design consultation will be carried out prior to the design stage report being produced. On completion a post construction will be produced and then a certificate will be issued on the projects final Code Level.
